3-mile run test. Day 13.

Image
With temperatures in the 70s, it was a perfect day to try a little running. Today, I pushed to 3 miles on dirt, 1 mile longer than my previous longest run post-injury. Unfortunately, I felt somewhat sharp pangs in the patella at two points in my run, once at mile 1.5 going up hill, and one more time rounding out a flat section toward the end at higher speeds (2.8 miles or so). This is frustrating, but there isn't a lot of residual pain following the run. However, now my right knee had some minor pain post run. I will see if my running form is a problem when I see my physical therapist on Tuesday morning. I'll post a photo from last night's sunset since it was so spectacular. Plus my work out details (below).

Gone with the Wind Snowshoeing. Day 12

Image
Saturday has become a weekly tradition of snowshoeing. The snow conditions weren't great this weekend, as it's been a rather quiet winter in the last month or so. That is about to change in the upcoming pattern. Nonetheless, there was enough of a base to snowshoe up at Brainard Lake. It was a nice trip, with intense wind. The warm temperatures prevented an uncomfortable wind chill.
